TBA has been working with a new client, KONE on a series of Customer exhibitions that have been touring the country between February and March. KONE is one of the global leaders in the elevator and escalator industry and chose to work with TBA to deliver an exhibition to launch the new MonoSpace elevator.
This time last week, our logistics manager Rebecca stepped away from an afternoon at TBA Towers and headed to Greenwich to attend The BRITS 2013. Acting as a VIP guest to a brand new London hotel, Bex
sipped champagne and enjoyed a fab meal by Payne and Gunter before watching the Awards in the main arena of the O2. Having had the evening of a lifetime, her key highlights included… Muse, spotting Simon Cowell and the after-party.
The TBA team were out on the ground in Accra this month, to pick up a Marketing Brilliance Award for our work with Guinness and to watch the Ghana Black Stars go out of the African Cup of Nations on penalties.
The upside on Ghana’s premature departure? The Guinness was cold and the other Guinness ‘home’ team, the Nigerian Super Eagles, went through to beat Burkina Faso in the finals and win their first AFCON in 19 years. Lagos ‘went green’…
TBA spent last Monday night in one of Shoreditch’s coolest speakeasy to launch the long awaited return of Tanqueray Malacca Gin. Tanqueray Malacca has been brought back due to the demand of the world’s greatest bartenders, only 100,000 bottles have been produced by Tanqueray’s Master Distiller, Tom Nichol.
“In the years that I’ve spent with Tanqueray, I’ve spent an awful lot of great times with bartenders. They wanted this to be brought back. This is the time to bring it out again, give them something special to serve. They are going to produce some fantastic cocktails. I think this is my gift back to them to say thank you for all these years.” Tom Nichol, also featuring in the video below, produced by TBA.
"TBA: Innovative, Elegant, Visionary, Practical, Creativity, Strategic.
Last week, TBA were host to a group of students from the Terbell Event Management Course, giving them an overview of the brands we work with, events we produce and our culture and approach as an agency. Alex, Lily and Dan showed them round our offices, went through a brief presentation to give them an overview of TBA and then held an informal Q&A session with the students. They were all impressed with the students, who demonstrated that they had researched TBA as an agency before coming to meet us, asked relevant and astute questions and showed insight and understanding about what working in the events industry involves. The course seems to offer an interesting and intensive post-grad experience that would be a good base for anyone looking to enter the industry.
From the feedback the students gave their tutor, it would seem TBA impressed and inspired them in return. Here are some direct quotes from the students' reports - thanks for coming along and saying such lovely things, guys!
"TBA is inexhaustible source of fresh ideas and creative people framed by solid knowledge and experience. From the first look their friendliness and professionalism caught my eye. After watching a video which represents the company, I felt how persistently and creatively this team are engaged with each event. I have been especially impressed how they prepared first class projects in short timeframes." - Anna, Terbell student
"I found my visit to TBA very insightful and learnt a lot about the industry, especially coming from such creative professionals. The office had a brilliant vibe; it felt relaxed but still professional." - Louise, Terbell stundent
"We were shown particular case studies and examples of briefs from some of their previous clients and how their ideas materialised into the real events. It was amazing to see how some of the original pitch ideas turn into life and what obstacles the team had to overcome in order to achieve their goals and make the event a success. Some of the productions they showed us looked incredible and the creativity that was present throughout was inspiring.
TBA once again worked with the Football Association and ESPN at the weekend, this time to produce the FA England Awards at St Georges Park. Set in 330 acres of the National Forest, St Georges Park is the brand new home of National Football and was something different for the team to run an event out of the hustle and bustle of city life!
Back at one of London's best venues, TBA produced a one-off private event for 280 guests at ONE Mayfair. The historic landmark played host to American singer and songwriter Cee-Lo Green, who was flown over to perform a selection of his greatest hits solely for the high-end bash. On top of arranging all the entertainment, TBA worked on all the production, design, theming and catering, bringing the venue to life with a range of light shows, staging and mouth-watering food and drinks making it a night to remember for everyone involved.
