Some of the TBA girls went to the The Hurlingham Club's Showcase Party in Putney on Wednesday night for an evening of cocktails, canapés and live music.
The venue was beautiful - a real retreat from everyday busy London life yet still very central. From the moment we arrived we loved the setting- we were greeted by peacocks and surrounded by tennis courts and games of boules. London 2012 has been branded as being the greatest games of all time. Amy Manistre, one of our Project Coordinators, headed down to this month's event, knowing nothing more than the title of August's session "Lost at Sea". Over to Amy...
"The Lost Lectures is a unique project, promising attendees “enchanting talks from secret locations”. The concept is simple: six speakers, all with different backgrounds and interests, are given 12 minutes in which to talk about their chosen topic. It invites curious minds to explore new ideas outside the confines of a lecture theatre, in bite sized pieces (and with a glass of wine!) |
