'The Dugout' set at Wembley, designed & installed by TBA
On Tuesday we pulled the ‘The Dugout’ out of the shadows and into the limelight yet again for another breakfast event at Wembley Stadium. The doors opened to the Club Wembley members at 8am with fresh smoothies, pastries and fresh fruit ready for their arrival.
We had the honour of Jim Rosenthal hosting the event with three absolute football legends, Jimmy Greaves who is England's third highest international Goal scorer, the last player to score 40 goals in one English top-flight season, Sir Geoff Hurst a former England striker, he remains the only man to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final as England recorded a 4–2 victory over West Germany at the old Wembley in 1966 and Gordon Banks a former goalkeeper, he made 628 appearances during a 15 year career in the Football League, and won 73 caps for his country.
Between them they discussed the upcoming World Cup in Brazil with their thoughts and predictions about the team and even shared some special memories from their experience winning the World Cup.
We had something else up our sleeves for our guests when we unveiled the Official World Cup Trophy. We gave our guests attending an opportunity to have their picture taken next to the famous Trophy itself and provided an unforgettable photo opportunity when Jimmy, Geoff & Gordon held onto the Trophy itself being 3 of very few people that has the honour to touch the Trophy as they once have won this themselves.
