reat day overall with some glowing feedback from the client and attendees. A hard act (and venue!) to beat next year.
This week, perfectly timed with the sunshine, TBA produced and co-ordinated a large scale event at Tobacco Dock. Running a series of events in 2015 for clients such as Citi Bank and Clarks, this was the biggest to date with over 500 attendees. With the masses arriving from Shadwell and a range of breakfast goodies in place, the event was made up of a daytime conference and awards ceremony hosted over lunch and then concluded with an after-party within the venue. With a one-day build and speakers rehearsals the day before, we took over the venue’s main Great Gallery and Walkway spaces as well as the Quayside Bar and outside area for the evening. We worked with caterers Dish who provided guests with a selection of delicious breakfast bagels, fruit skewers and muffins before a three-course Oriental themed luncheon. Served from Bento boxes and equipped with chop-sticks, the service was a welcome step away from the usual corporate chicken and lamb dishes. Whilst the main event was going on, TBA worked on the next install with food traders Kerb, specialising in delicious street food distributed out of quirky vans and tents with fresh corn tortilla tacos from ‘Club Mexicana’ and servings of ‘Grilling Greek’s’ tender Souvlaki and meze to mention a few. After the meeting was finished, the evening sun filled the open-aired Walkway spaces within the venue and delegates made their way to the Quayside bar and surrounding areas for some ice-cold Pimms before tucking into the street food and dancing to the sounds of the firm’s in-house band. Although 100% dry hire, Tobacco Dock was a great venue to host the large number required, being able to host the conference and after-party under one roof.
